especially about the target being 12 year olds. But the first three films had proper plots, with twists, character development, reveals, and generally an internal consistency that made them feel absorbing.

The latest film scores terribly on all those scores. It’s just packed full of What? Why? That doesn’t make any sense! Kind of moments.

It’s not just a Star Wars film, it’s not just a bad Star Wars film, at its heart it’s just a terrible terrible film with a s**t story that makes no sense on any reasonable level.
