Doherty is in a much better position than most to walk away. Cold turkey/rehab whatever's necessary. Add to that he still has (just) a hugely rewarding and well paid career, and had (an equally fcuked up but) model bird. He is a role model to some (fcuked up some of them are going to turn out to be then) and has responsibilities.

If he WANTED to clean up and walk away from it. He could. But he chooses not to, and seems to get his collar felt nearly every week now. That is why he does not receieve my sympathy or understanding.
