I have to admit a certain byas...

Towards Phil Parkinson. I've been to see Col U a fair bit this season when our games have allowed and he has got a team playing to its strengths, based around youngsters brought through the Centre of Excellance system and identified at other clubs.

He has taken a team with average attendances of 3,500 and the most expensive signing at 25k to the playoff zone, made them very difficult to break down and when you watch them you can see what each player is in the team to do.

His scouts have helped but his ability to spot a players talents and to not be afraid to try things have really impressed me. The likes of Kevin Watson, Chris Iwelumo, Richard Garcia, Neil Danns, Mark Yeates, Wayne Brown, Pat Baldwin, Liam Chilvers and Gareth Williams were all no longer required by other clubs yet they've all played 20+ games this season for Colchester. Look at Jamie Cureton for example. 12 games, no goals at Swindon to start the season, Parkinson signs him on loan for Colchester and he goes on to net 7 goals in 9 starts before returning to Swindon.

The comparisons to worthington are limited, mainly because Parkinson seems to have ability.
