"I'm sorry, but I can't for the life of me see any comparison between that and with what's happening now" says Barry.

Really? Not any comparison? In 1996 Chase stood accused of financial mismanagement prompting the question "Where has the money gone?"

In 2006, despite huge revenues from the Premiership, having sold a player for ?2 million and having benefited from two succesful share issues the club could afford neither the wages nor the ?50,000 transfer fee for Carl Robinson. Sounds like mismanagement to me. I wonder where all the money went?

Still we have progressed in one sense. Chase didn't pay ?438,000 to agents in a 6 month period.

Hurrah! Drinks all round!
