"the RESULT" not the PERFORMANCE. That's because he has desperately tried to praise Worthy for decent results (eg against Brighton) even though we could see that the actual performance was still sh*te. He basically knows we are unlikely to see many decent performances between now and the end of the season, but if we are playing someone even worse than us we might still get a few decent results.
