Yet again the board are trying to take credit for buying Huckerby. Who paid for him? The City fans who bought ?2.5m in shares in the weeks leading up to him signing. Ashton, who paid a large proportion of his initial transfer fee? Again, the fans who didn't take up their Pref B share options (bet they're regretting that decision now mind) the month before he signed. All this money & goodwill has seemingly been airbrushed out of history, it's never mentioned now. It's all "the board put up the money" and "it's down to Worthington that they came". No it's not, it's down to the supporters, and those same supporters now want rid of this lame duck manager before any of the remaining positives at our club are quashed for good.
