I've sat in the same seat for over a decade and most of the people around me have too.
Looking around me this weekend I'd say the majority are 45+ and 95% of them are miserable moaning old pricks who wouldn't know the meaning of the word "support" if a dictionary was placed in their laps and the word was highlighted in pink pen.
Having said that, it is true that as you get older and have been to 1000s of games, Barnsley at home on a cold day isn't the most inspiring match to shout out the same tired old songs, or mumble the awful new ones.
You could feel the Barclay groaning at the thought of having to respond to "we're the snake pit over here" for the 10,000th time.
So, good new songs needed, old people to move (where to, we're full?) and young people to take up being a football fan and sing loudly. Not gonna happen.
