Regarding the atmosphere, bloody hell it was poor yesterday. I was watched the second half on a link on Facebook and genuinely thought there was a problem with the sound until I heard 'we're the Barclay/snake pit' chant. (How singing that is getting behind the team is beyond me but anyway - I guess those singing it are at least enjoying themselves which is part of your point.) The atmosphere has been s**t for a season and a half now if we're honest and while I'm not tying to excuse it and certainly not the level of moaning, I do wonder how much football in general is to blame and what can be done about it. The BBC report on the price of football this week stated a low percentage of supporters are between 18 - 24 and they don't go because they can't afford it (shock). That age group sings and generally would go in Barclay. How many people do we have in that age bracket in Barclay now? Not as many as 20odd years ago when I went in there I bet. The other problem adding to this is the inability to move where you sit, so moving from the Barclay when you get to 30 say is not as easy as it used to be. That said, simply having a more positive view point of what we're watching or as you state actually trying to sing if you go in the Barclay would help.
