There’s a really interesting interview with Phil Mulryne in the Times today

When I first saw it I thought “not another piece about Mulryne” but it’s actually very good because it’s a proper discussion with him about what’s he’s doing now (a Dominican priest, teaching at a big boys’ school), his footy career (his shyness as a young Irish boy as an apprentice at Man U lumped in with a load of cocky self-confident London kids), his emptiness as a rich young man (buying 3-4 cars a year trying to fill a void), his calling to the priesthood. Great stuff.

I’m afraid it’s behind a paywall so you’ll need someone with pens to link it. But really interesting.

Oh, and he loved his time with us and is still a norwich fan! Top man
