England last night

I enjoyed the match, although it petered out badly in the last 15 or so due to all the subs. Decent 0-0 game first half was good to watch.

First match for many years even though we live two stops away on the tube and can walk it from Kenton to Wembley in 35 minutes.

We had tickets via Brent Schools and on Facebook Mrs KC saw a pal of hers who works locally in a different school was also there in same block.

Not watched much Prem football recently and I didn’t know who Joe Gomez was or who he played for even that Sane was German.

Wembley is an advert-fest, the whole light/feel of the place seemed to change when different ads flashed up in different colours on the perimeter board, especially when the dark blue background ad came on.

Trippier looks a good player, and Harry Maguire took responsibility a few times bringing the ball up the pitch and opening up the game.

As regards the team and play, I thought they were very cautious, up field almost always wanted to make a safe pass when a better (chancier) option was on which was frustrated the crowd. But good to see they appear to be developing a style of play.
