in that scenario they have to refund the full price and any postage you originally paid, regardless of whether the goods have yet been returned.
so I would be requiring the full refund plus cost of return postage before sending anything back.
I'm guessing the cost of return postage by RM signed delivery for a pair of boots will be in the region of a tenner, which for a pair of used end of line boots that they (shouldnt) be reselling as new will be a cost they won't want to pay so you might get to keep them.
but if they do call the bluff and pay for the return, you can either just change your mind and pay it all back, or pay back what you think they are worth and leave them to sue you for the balance (they wont).
It's abusing the DSRs but at the end of the day they've tried to rip you off.
