But the board has chosen to be self-sustaining

rather than seek outside investment. Thats their choice from a wide range of options...whether we agree or not. If that means developing youth players that generate more wealth that has to be a good thing for the fans...as seeing players come through to the first team is always exciting. However this approach needs time to develop as we all know how bad the past development set up was.

My belief was that we should have done this directly on relegation from the premier league (we would have been a few steps along the process compared to now)...but I think fan expectation and the desire to stick with Alex clouded the judgement of the board.
