We have a very messy conglomeration of music listening options that I'm thinking of updating.
To start with, me and Jools have loads of CDs. I've put most of Jools and some of mine on iPlayer (this is a continuing process) to download to her iPod Classic. I have quite a lot of Classical CDs that I still like to play as CDs. We have a cheapish bluetooth iPod docking station in the kitchen, a cheap digital radio in the kitchen and a non bluetooth docking speaker in the lounge. I have a decent quality 15 year old Dennon CD player with decent speakers in a cupboard not being used.
What I think I want is something I can connect to my Denon that would replace my laptop as a repository for our music and as a high res (CD quality is fine) streaming device to use in the lounge. I'd then like to be able to bluetooth it to a better speaker in the kitchen and possibly upstairs, although not at the same time.
We don't relly need the telly to be part of it as we don't watch a lot and the telly sound quality is fine when we do.
What sort of devices do I start to look at?
