Don't recall an issue with Surman's work rate. his one weakness was lack of pace

Vrancic is similarly lacking in pace but also I think (currently) has a lower work rate. he also has the problem of having Wes, Pritchard and Maddison who are all arguably ahead of him in the pecking order for a more central role that probably suits him better.

Useful to have about though. You can never have too many technically gifted players. Touch of the Clint Easton's about him!
