but this assumes you're not someone who thinks 'OMG more than an hour in a car, that's insane', your sprogs don't mind car journeys, you don't mind driving in America, and you don't mind relatively whistlestop tours.

but if that gives you at least a couple of clear days in each of Boston and DC and at least 4 or 5 in NY, it'd be a nice enough trip.

if drop Baltimore but that's because I haven't been so know nothing about it compared to the others, and the other 3 have more than enough to keep you occupied
