Most ludicrously they once claimed that Mick had only spent £110,000 one year. Of course the truth was that expenditure that year was greater than income, and wages (mostly money spent by Barnsley's Mr Football) exceeded turnover.
When Evans took them over their debt stood at £36 million, ours was around £25 million. Now their debt is £86 million and climbing ours is zero. Over that period what has happened is that the Barnsley Brian Clough and his predecessors have been give (net) £75 million MORE than their City counterparts.
They are a poorly run, poorly managed club with a dwindling support and revenue base.
