He's an eccentric, always has been I just don't understand why

people who have egged him on in the past are suddenly making jibes about his weight or being openly offensive to him.

Yes he's getting his knickers in a twist over a frankly ridiculous scenario, and he's probably been indulged by the club too much leading to over expectation but he doesn't see things (or in this case perhaps understand them) in the same way as most of us. I just think trouser gate is amusing but nothing to get so worked up over.

Its indicative of a nasty side to this board that surfaces from time to time.
