....there'll be a full euros qualifying campaign, as now (completely separate from this new 'Nations League' tournament).
That'll provide 20 of the 24 qualifiers (10 group winners, 10 runners up).
But - that leaves 4 places still up for grabs. And those *will* depend on this new tournament. The 16 (!) group winners from this new tournament will then compete to get those final 4 places for the euros. (If some of those have already qualified as part of the 20 places above, then their place in the play-offs will go to the next best team in their 'Nations League' group, etc etc.)
So the 16 teams from the Nations League that are competing for the 4 euro places will play semi-finals - taking them down to 8 - and then play-offs, to find the 4 who qualify.
