be so many people employed in professional football who wouldn't get a senior role in any other type of serious business that anyone with a modicum of common sense and strategic thinking (which Webber appears to have) immediately stands out.
The point really is that a lot of people assume he knows what he's doing off the back of Huddersfield last season but we also know that it football sometimes things just click (like when we brought in Lambert) that can transform a club's fortunes very quickly. Same can happen in any job, something goes well and suddenly people regard you as a "guru" when the reality is that things just fell into place. This is clearly the acid test for Webber. So far I agree on balance he appears to me doing ok and I like the Farke appointment but it will need to be judged over the longer term.
