although Oliveira, Jerome, Maddison and Pritchard were all signed before either of those joined the club, so they can't take all the credit. Anyway that is a different argument really.

I don't follow Reading closely, but I wouldn't be surprised if they missed Kermorgant more than we missed Oliveira or Pritchard yesterday, so it seems a fair narrative to suggest rather than an unreasonably one-eyed account.
