Ok, so I've been to 55/92 grounds in the country and won't have acquired the points to buy

Simply because I've got toddlers and haven't been able to go as regularly in the last four years. I get to maybe three or four away games a season now. Arsenal is cheap and easy for me to get to on a work night so I'm going. Do I feel guilty that someone who has the points to get priority for every game doesn't get to go this time? No. It's a cup game. Cup games are general sale. Would half these hardcore fans be moaning if it were a fourth round cup game against, I dunno, Barnet on general sale? Probably not. They're just as fussed about watching Arsenal as the apparent fairweather fans are.

I'm genuinely sorry for the fans who are in the awful position of being able to go to the football week in week out, sounds like a real chore that those of us with current family commitments can only imagine. I'm sorry I wasn't at Sheffield United this season (done that), or Boro (done that too). I did travel up to Tranmere on a rainy Friday night in League One to watch a game that was on Tv, and I did make a 22hr round coach trip to Carlisle to watch us grind out a 1-0 win, and I did finally see us get a point at Craven Cottage on my sixth visit there, and I subject myself to more games than I should have done under Glenn Roeder so if I get the chance to take up a ticket for a game that I can make, that I'd normally have to have acquired points for, then I will sodding well take it and enjoy it.
