"After we agreed a fee with Newcastle for Grant Hanley, I drove in my bare feet with just a toblerone in the glove compartment for company in order to get the deal over the line.

Taking advantage of the business mileage expenses I could claim, I stopped over night in Wales to see my folks, I know it's a bit out of way but I decided to kill two birds with one stone. We agreed to meet Grant at the Motorway Services somewhere around Preston.
