So I elected to sign up for the iFollow subscription for this season with a pre-season sense of optimism and Millwall on Saturday was the first game I had the chance to watch - didn't take long for the positivity to be sapped!
Clearly the performance left a lot to be desired but I was curious if any other exiled wrathers had signed up and what the service had been like for them.
For that game the first half's coverage had pretty bad quality picture, but the stream was without any interruptions at least.
Second half the picture quality improved so as to be equivalent to a TV broadcast but had some intermittent glitches.
Also the camera work was pretty amateurish panning from one side of the pitch to another and zooming in clumsily on the crowd etc.
In general it was very, "no-frills" shall we say. No graphics showing team line ups etc before the game and no score or clock in the corner.
Additionally there was no commentary which made it a somewhat lonely watch although you got used to it after a while.
All in all, I was able to watch the game (not sure if that is actually a benefit but still) but it was a bit of a disappointment.
I wonder if the quality it is dependent on the home team's set up as I have heard mixed reports about the visual experience. Also, I vaguely remember seeing somewhere that Chris Goreham had been confirmed as the commentator for the Norwich coverage - which would suggest commentary might be available for home games?
Anyone else's experiences or thoughts welcome.
