I was expressing the view that finishing eighth in the league is something to build on. But... As a team if you finish eighth I feel there is more right than wrong in footballing terms. Obviously there were problems and we all could see them. Richard Money, for example, was most emphatically not one of them.
Paddy Davitt is definitely a glass half empty chap, but if he's right then it's my belief that the toxin is still there. I may be the only person who holds this view, but it has always been my belief that a key part of Worthington's success was that he stopped playing Matt Jackson.
