Fact remains he should have been put out to grass some time ago.

It is beyond doubt that none of our defenders are up to it but Martin has made mistakes constantly over at least the last three seasons. It would be nice, rather than blaming him for everything, to be singling him out, as the captain, for what he brings to he team but I cannot recall the last game I saw where I did that.
