I suspect if we had a game Tuesday he wouldn't have time to sort anything and it would be same again. Now he's got two weeks to work on what's gone wrong so far. Which is quite a long list.
We're horribly weak in the air, from long balls played forward.
Marking at set pieces has been really poor.
Why did we let that Lincoln lad go back on loan?
Our possession football is one paced, predictable and easily countered.
We're not good enough on the ball to retain it when the other side press, and not good enough to break them down when the oppo sit back.
Any attempt at a high press - if that's what we're attempting - is futile. Our midfield is too slow and lightweight to do it effectively. And the oppo aren't bothering to play out against us anyway, as we're so s**t against the long ball they don't need to bother.
More worrying, ifI was Olive I might well agitate for a move based on what I'd seen so far. No evidence so far we're going to be top half, never mind play off contenders. Ditto Pritchard, although obviously he's injured. But it's hard to see why our better players would want to waste 2/3 years of their fleeting careers while we build something out the present rubble.
Oh to be a fly on the wall at Colney over the next couple of weeks.
