from what i've seen, he's been playing too deep

he's made some nice incisive passes, but from midfield into the final third, rather than setting up assists. But we have too many players who want to play the number 10 role it seems, and not enough who can play a box-to-box role.

Hasn't looked out of his depth on the ball, but defensively I fear he is nowhere near good enough yet for a central midfielder.
