is just a product of Farke's insistence on keeping possession, but it's when we lose it that the energy input is needed, and it isn't there. Farke's made that point himself, but the players haven't responded yet. If he can't get them to do that, there's no reward for their extra fitness.
If you have possession and pass it across the defence or midfield you should be able to slow the pace and recover for the next high-intensity spurt, but we're getting the first without the second.
