Heard of him...

He's very well known (in an obscure sort of way). Agree with the Big Big Train recommendation and whilst it is quite mainstream would also strongly recommend 'Sight of Day' by Mostly Autumn. Obviously none og it is as good as the obscure prog bands of my youth many years ago...
