Very true, and lest not forget

That defending is not 100% about the 4 defenders, but also the whole team, especially the support the defence should have from midfield.
Although, positioning and quality of passing/clearances cannot be ruled out.
It seems to me that City have lost many 2nd balls and failed to clear their lines in vital situations. And given the ball away umpteen times as well.
