Interesting change in the tone of reporting, even by Archant

No stabbing or rape - and no one in authority now saying the trouble was purely down to the travellers who had arrived in town. It was carnival weekend and sounds like the usual problem of assorted piss heads and f**kwits drinking too much and causing 'low level disorder', not out of place in Norwich of a weekend. Social Meeja keyboard warriors get in on the act and, in the absence of any real knowledge, spread a load of rumours that turn out to be false or grossly exaggerated. Of course, some travellers may have been involved, but it sounds like it went a lot wider than that. Police attended the incidents, and not one arrest.......Sets an interesting precedent: maybe publicans and restauranteurs in Norwich will go into lockdown and close for the weekend the next time some of their punters get a bit arsey
