Because the premier league is better than the bundesliga?

Bayern walk it every year.

German national team is better because some of their best players play in foreign leagues, not because their domestic league is better.

Klose came from a top four bundesliga side and hasn't been good enough so far. Signing objectively worse defenders doesn't seem a brilliant idea.

Also Zimmerman was playing in the German fourth division which must be a lot worse.

That said I would think proper coaching could make a bigger difference.

Farke clearly needs some time. Most people seem to have forgotten that Wagner had half a season (in which Huddersfield were pretty bad) before last season.
