I think it would help with that

because one of the holding midfielders (probably Reed as the more mobile one) can go out and support the full-back, while the other one stays in the middle and shields or supports the centre backs.

At the moment it seems as though our full backs are exposed 1v1 a lot, and they're just not good enough to deal with that.
