Read a book about St Pauli on my hols: a couple of interesting things stood out...

1) One was that the hooligan problem in Germany seems worse than in the UK, despite it being the so-called English disease.

2) The authorities there have plans to try and make the game more like the Premier League - i.e. get rid of the ultras / raise the ticket prices etc. Book is a few years old so I'm not clear how far these plans have progressed.
