I know it was born of frustration on Sunday but the positive reaction when Murphy had a long range shot from a difficult position, which inevitably went high, wide and handsome into the crowd - "at least he had a go!" - summed it up. Perceived effort from our crowd seems to be having a shot from anywhere, wasting possession and giving the opposition time to regroup, not working space, getting the other team chasing the ball and trying to engineer a better position to have the shot. One might take a bit longer but it's not less effort FFS.
