My main "gripe" is that there is no nuance or subtlety in the way there was in earlier seasons. In a sense that's inevitable I guess. Each individual episode has been well paced and well acted and shot - incredibly so for a TV series really.
I'm guessing this season is mostly about getting the human wars out of the way so next season can focus on the war for the dawn. I imagine most top-level characters survive this season but several of them die next season.
Littlefinger's death has been so widely foreshadowed I almost hope they don't do it now! And the Dany-Jon relationship feels very lazy plotwise to me.
Will Dany go full Mad Queen? I'd suspect not, in the books, but in the show I don't know. What happened to the Tarlys, will Tyrion somehow save/free Bronn and Jaime, and why did Bran look so odd when he gave the dagger to Arya - he must know what she's going to do with it. Does she have to kill him with it? Does Littlefinger attack Sansa and Arya has to give her a gift of Mercy? I hope neither (and think neither is likely). Maybe she kills the Night King with it but is then killed herself.
Questions, questions...
