Oakland's 12-5 trouncing by Baltimore hopefully won't be a sign for our own yellow and green heroes later!
It was all over, virtually, in the top of the first inning with the A's giving up 7 runs and allowing 11 men to get to the plate. The A's opening pitcher walked the first batter and allowed 6 straight base hits and was then pulled, but the damage was done.
A's rallied slightly with home runs in the bottom of the first and second but couldn't get enough men on base. Best chance was bottom of the sixth with two men on the corners and only one out but they couldn't make it count and struck out without scoring.
Orioles sealed the game with 3 more runs in the top of the ninth to leave the yellow and green Athletics well and truly beaten.
I'm hoping for a better yellow and green showing later.
