yes

as a history buff you will be left wishing the story had a wider scope, and you might think the 'look' of the beaches isn't quite right

as a rivet counter you might be slightly frustrated that they used post-war French ships instead of CGI, or how much ammo Nolan's Spitfires carry, or why they chose to sink a hospital ship at the Mole when the only hospital ship that was sunk was hit offshore and only went down with a few hands

a working knowledge of aerodynamics will slightly spoil the otherwise simply stunning flypast at the end

and if you don't like Nolan's style then you won't like the way he's done the three viewpoints on the same story arc

but for all of that, it is a great great film. Probably up there as one of my all time favourite war films* if only for the air combat scenes.

(falls short simply because I don't think it will have as much replay value as Zulu, Bridge Too Far, Thin Red Line etc.)
