i think we all accept its a "work in progress" but we can still comment on

that progress and fans will always point out what they think are strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement.

In my view there is far more to be positive about flowing from pre-season and the first couple of games but there are also some clear areas for improvement and i'm not sure we have improved the defensive personnel at our disposal to the extent I expected or would have liked.
