That route brought me to Norfolk

Dad worked for British Midland at Teesside (as it was known then). An old RAF friend persuaded him to join Air Anglia who were running the Norwich Teeside Aberdeen route with DC3s,F27 Friendships, Heralds (Handley Page, not Triumph) and F28s. When they became AirUk there was a strong chance that we would either move from Darlington to Aberdeen or Redhill in Surrey. Luckily they opted for Norwich with the ops remaining at NWI. How long this new route will last, who knows. Durham Tees Valley is a shadow of its former self and the whole viability is based on the oil and wind industry.
