It *is* a fantasy story but the fantasy elements are kind of drip-fed - it's not dragons versus orcs, the movie or any such nonsense.
At its core it's a political story modelled loosely on the Wars of the Roses. Much of what happens is drawn more or less directly from history. The characters are engaging, the plotting is complex and almost no-one is caricature-good or caricature-bad - everyone on every side is more or less recognisably human.
It looks at the consequences of war, for the smallfolk as well as the nobility, and is worth it for that reason alone.
The first couple of seasons in particular *do* have a surfeit of breasts. It's like there was a teenage boy acting as a consultant - "yes that scene's all very well but could we add some breasts do you think". However there is full frontal male nudity too and later seasons are much better in that regard.
It's very addictive. Once you've popped you won't want to stop.
