3rd game seen, best so far IMHO...

As well as showing progress and more confidence as each game has come, I'm pleased that the "style" or "philosophy" has remained throughout and is clearly visible. That said, there had been an appetite to switch formation from the 4-1-4-1 to 3 at the back and a stronger 5 in midfield.

Brighton were certainly a step up from Stevenage and Charlton (ITFC oh dear!) but we still bossed the majority of the game. Can't tell if Brighton had plenty more to give, obviously Knockaert would have been missed today.

As others have already said, Madders and Reed were the pick today but I'm liking Vrancic more and more with every viewing. I also think Lord Nelson of Oliveira has some real quality.

Although the goal provided an unwanted flashback to all the defensive frailties of last year, I thought that Husband looked good and the central pairing were fairly solid. To be honest, Brighton were kept pretty quiet even when they pressed a bit more second half.

Looking forward to season starting for real, even if I'll miss first 6 games whilst away on hollybobs.
