Prem- Chase: Under Chase a fairly well established side playing superb, on the ground footie and winning fans all over the country. High finishes in the league made us proud to be Canary fans. In fairness to Delia he took us down as well, but at least we had some hope of being back.
Prem - Delia: Under Delia, one pathetic season fully expecting what did indeed happen.
Managers- Chase: Ok Chase went through a few, including Martin O'Neil, but not afraid to sack underperforming personnel. Would Worthy be here now under him?
Managers- Delia: Oh dear, where do we begin. Rioch, Hammy, sacking Walker after two 5-0 home wins. NOT sacking Worthy even with his awful record.
European football - Chase: No comment required.
European football - Delia: No comment required.
Cash - Chase: Took us to near bankruptcy. However some of his land deals were excellent and have paid dividends. Looking at other clubs that have imploded financially, it doesn't mean the end of your club. You plug on, albeit with restrictions, but life goes on. No points deductions then either. We would have recovered by now.
Cash - Delia: "Saved" our little club at the eleventh hour.(Don't we know it) Very commendable, but others would probably have done the same. Large "managable" debts remain still despite undying support, a year in the Prem and parachute money. Don't forget, her Ladyship once said we needed an average of 16,000 fans to keep going. Well, we're doing our part Deals. Yes we have a nice stadium, but the football is shocking.
Embarrassing moments - Chase: His interview after the departure of O'Neil. Not many more spring to mind.
Embarrassing moments - Delia: Several cringe-making interviews on TV and in the press culminating in the "Rant". Surely the most awful humiliation ever to be heaped on any teams supporters, especially when the atmosphere that night was actually very good. anyway.
Purchases and sales under Chase: Several players sold to make ends meet, notably Sutton, Fox and Newsome. However, many many good players arrived under his stewartship and remain "legends".
Purchases and sales under Delia: Don't get me started. Go to the match tomorrow night and see several of them. Remember Steve Walsh? De Waard? De Blasis? Segura? My God a "worst ever Norwich team would probably be assembled from players that have been here in the last 8 years.
Look, I'm not a Chase fan and I know Delia is not Chairman, but was he THAT bad. Delia once trumpeted that nobody would have complete control over a club like Chase did, well take a bow Delia you have.
