Dear Arizoner,

It is with deep sadness and regret that I have the duty to inform you of my dissappointment with regard to the crushing sadness that befell upon me this very day.

Only recently you cruelly planted the seed of hope inside my breast and I sallied forth in good heart, with the good Lord as my companion, in the pursuit of the noble wild Goosegog. Sadly it comes to pass that the Goosegog season is behind us and I must wait for the Calendar to turn to 2018.

My dream of Devilled Mackerel fillet with Gooseberry and Chilli Ginger relish is not worth the ashes in the BBQ it would be grilled upon.
