My heart bleeds for them

(1) most on the list will be on final salary pensions that'll pay more than most people earn in full time employment

(2) a great many on the list will be able to supplement income with other gigs elsewhere, leveraging their profile from BBC, something not open to most PAYE slaves.

(3) a good number of them have additional BBC-funded gigs paid through independent production companies. eg Norton, Dimbleby. So the figures can't actually be trusted.
