It's a bit of a deal or no deal!

Sales are always a gamble and largely unknowable.

Even if he goes on to play for England, we could never know if he would have followed the same path playing for us and what genuine net influence he would have had on our fortunes.

At the moment £12m looks a bit better than par and that's fine by me.
