iCloud. It's completely seamless. Otherwise back up to itooons. Remember to check the

encrypted backup option (what they don't tell you clearly is that this also backs up your data and passwords etc) and the plug in new phone and restore to it.

Have done the same process starting at iPhone 3G to 4, 4 to 5. 5 to 6 and 6 to 7. Always worked perfectly.
