we kept desperately spending the parachute payments on experienced players in a short term effort to get promoted while not having in place a longer term plan for when they were gone. So when they expired we were f***ed.
At least this time we seem to have a plan for next season onwards and have tried to keep up a stock of young talent (who either help you on the pitch or have a decent sale value to keep you in resources going forward)
