a real strange performance from City.
Once Hull got in front, in the first half we never looked like we could get anything from the match. In the second half as the game went on we began to dominate and Hull we reduced to long ball break-aways. But overall we deserved the draw. Hull fans gave their side a muted booing at the final whistle.
Points from the match:
Hucks looked much better than I've seen him for a long time. He was running at the defenders and getting in crosses.
We passed the ball more this week. Couldn't have been worse than last week I spose. But most of our passing was sideways and in our own half. Only Safri tried to get the ball forward. My god, where would we be without him.
Palyed another striker - Johanson - out wide until McVeigh cam on later in the game. Leon looked sharp when he came on and gave us more mobility up front.
Rehman again looked solid.
On the way home I heard Earnshaw criticised on radio 5Live by Alan Green for being 'blinkered' and 'could not bring others into the game'. Well, today I thought this was the best part of his game. He constantly looked to get Hucks and Drury in on the left.
Hughes was better today than last week. He played in centre of midfield with Safri. Doc was outstanding in the first half.
Strange thing tho' - the fans were chanting 'We want Worthy out' and 'We know we're sh*t'. But at then end of the match we give them a standing ovation as the players come to applaud us.
I spose there was no doubting of their effort today. It is just worrying that the quality is so poor.
