I don't particularly want him in the team every week...

But he seems to offer a lot more around the place than just what happens on match days.

I also agree that, with the turnover of players and staff, it is useful to have someone like him in place for the foreseeable future.

Fine by me for him to have a new deal, but let's hope we can bring in some other strong defenders "in and around" him.
